Dead Teen (zine)

Dead Teen is a work of horror fiction intended for a mature audience. It depicts disturbing content including but not limited to: gore, gun violence, school shootings, abuse, murder, sexual assault, disordered eating, homophobic slurs, self harm, and suicide.

Disillusioned by the world around him, the solemn and naive teenager Pierce lives a double life. Externally he seems like your average high school outcast, but internally his thoughts take violent and disturbing turns. Feeling out of control, he struggles to navigate his rapidly changing reality while maintaining relationships with his boyfriend The Honors Student and his best friend Otto.

Dead Teen is a difficult and voyeuristic story a little over 2,200 words long. The text is accompanied by collaged images and hand drawn, frequently gory, illustrations.

Included at the end of the zine is an artist's statement explaining the intended purpose of this story, and what it means to the author. Dead Teen is credited to James, one of V.V.K.'s aliases
